Congratulations to St Wilfrid's Burgess Hill
PUPIL PREMIUM AWARDS 2016
On Monday the 8th of February 2016, St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School in Burgess Hill was thrilled to receive a letter of congratulations from the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Childcare and Education, Sam Gyimah MP, for their achievement with Pupil Premium.
An extract from the letter to the Headteacher, Mrs Angela O'Hara highlights the main reasons it was awarded.
‘The reason you have been selected is that you are one of the high achieving schools in the country in terms of the attainment and progress of your disadvantaged pupils since 2011. It is clear that you and your staff have provided your disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life and prepared them well for secondary school. I would like to congratulate your governors, parents and pupils for their hard work and success, and thank you for your leadership in making such a difference to the future success of your pupils.’
The school feels that this is an excellent reminder of all the important learning that goes on each and every day and that our partnership of School, Parents and Governors is a strong one. The school now has the opportunity of winning a national award.
