  • The God Who Speaks – through the Prophets

One of the biggest differences between the Jewish people and those around them was their faith in a God who could not be seen, but who was alive and who spoke to them. We have inherited their belief in the God who speaks.

In Advent, we listen to ancient writers who lived in very different times to our own. We listen to the voice of Isaiah, a major prophet who lived in one of the darkest periods of Jewish history. He constantly listened for the Voice of God, encouraging people not to give way to despair. It was quiet, but persistent and strong; there is always hope for My People.
